MEET THE OWNER

Hi, my name is Kimberly, and I have proudly owned "Citrus Heights Car Wash" in Citrus Heights, CA, since 2003. Back then, the car wash did NOT have a name, and it was rundown and tired-looking.

The car wash just needed a "woman's loving touch."

Check out some photos from 2003...

My business values are simple – CLEANLINESS, QUALITY & SERVICE

While most self-service car washes are owned by men, primarily mechanics and contractors, very few are owned by women. I used to be intimidated by this fact, but I have learned to use my strengths to personalize my business. My strengths are I'm creative, organized, personable, and positive. I want to be a beacon of light to my customers, whether with a smile, an encouraging word, or an act of kindness. I'm very grateful that I own a business I love so much, with so many opportunities to be of service to my customers and my community.

Over the past 19 years, I have poured blood, sweat, tears, and profits back into my business to become a bright, beautiful and modern car wash!

I enjoy the unpredictability and variety of my work. No two days are ever the same, and there is never a dull moment! For me, it's NOT about making money. Every day is an opportunity to make a personal connection (a new friend) and a positive impact. Most days, I can be found on-site greeting new customers, making changes, explaining the wash menu, and answering any questions they may have. At the same time, I may also be sweeping, cleaning vacuums, making an unexpected repair, then jump-starting a dead battery to sympathize with a long-time customer who is struggling with health or financial issues.

On this day, a little kindness goes a long way that customers will long remember. One of my favorite quotes is from Maya Angelou: "People don't always remember what you say or do, but they'll always remember how you made them feel!" At the end of most days, I am tired and dirty, but I feel an enormous sense of satisfaction, peace, and joy!
